Inexpensive and it shows

Stay at this hotel if you want no frills and a dorm-like room. We stayed at this hotel with the tour company Proximo. The breakfast was very average and no complimentary water bottles. The two elevators held only 2 people and were very show. The upside is that the location is close to the shopping area. We would not have stayed here had it not been for our tour. We were disappointed with the accommodations.

We stayed at the Ibis in Palermo, Italy, and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the service was genuinely good. However, the condition of the room left much to be desired. The air conditioning was not working, which made it uncomfortable, especially in the summer heat. One of the beds was so worn out that you could feel the shape of the person’s body from overuse—it really needs to be replaced. The breakfast was okay—nothing special, but enough to get the day started. Unfortunately, the whole building feels outdated and in need of a serious renovation.
